Layer 1 of floor removed

Scott took Friday off work and finished taking down the upper cabinets and removing the first layer of flooring. To our dismay, there was more water damage than we anticipated. It now looks like we will have to replace all the subfloor and some of the trusses. He is nearly through helping his sister remodel her house, so he should be able to tear into the floor soon. He wants to be able to start and finish that part in a day or two. We do not want a gaping hole in our kitchen any longer than necessary. So far we are surviving on take-out, cereal, sandwiches, frozen dinners and bumming from family. I'm trying to throw some fruit in there when I can.
