Scott killed his first turkey this year.
It weighed about 18 pounds (with a 9+ inch beard for those who care about such things).
Hmm...Something seems to be missing...

Here's what it looked like on my plate. It was the first time I have ever cooked a wild turkey and I've only cooked ONE other turkey in my life. Erring on the side of "doneness" - I apparently cooked it too long and it was a little dry. Tasted good - but a little dry. We are thinking of turning the leftovers into turkey salad.
