I went to the garden yesterday, anticipating some summer squash ready for the picking. Much to my surprise it appears a critter has already done the picking. I found a few pieces of the stems with the tomatoes and the rest too small to harvest. The critter also found the cucumbers, so I picked some this morning and had the first two cucumbers for lunch. Yum Yum. We have put out Irish Spring soap - heard that works for deer. I guess we will have to find some way to keep from the rest of the animals. Here is a picture of our first harvest of cucumbers, the garden (yes I know I need to do some weeding) and part of the potatoes.
