What makes you a fan? (or What do you Worship?)

The term "fan" is short for fanatic. Meaning someone who is a follower or enthusiastic about something. What makes someone a fan? Here are few characteristics. The "team" can refer to multiple sports. Think about it - are you a fan?

Identifying characteristics of a fan

1. Reads articles and magazine about the sport
2. Can quote statistics about the players/events/sport
3. Discusses sport with co-workers, at school or social situations
4. Spends a lot of money on memorabilia/sport related things
5. Identifies with sport/team by proudly wearing the colors
6. Plans events in their life around the sport schedule
7. Watches or attends team/sport events regularly
8. Supports team by yelling, screaming, jumping and clapping (and those are the mild examples)
9. Decorate their house or car with team/sport related items
10. Drives long distances, spends hours in traffic to attend events plus the pre and post events

Yet I am considered weird if I
1. Read my Bible
2. Quote scripture and talk about Bible related events
3. Witness or post about Jesus
4. Pay my tithes and offerings
5. Identify with Jesus by dressing modestly according to scripture
6. Plan my schedule around church events
7. Attend church regularly
8. Worship God by clapping, singing, leaping, crying and praising
9. Listen to preaching, gospel music, hang scripture on my wall and don't have a television
10. Drive a long distance to be in service with fellow believers

Think about it. What are you a "fan" of?

Who/What do you really worship?
